Each legislative session presents opportunities to advocate for Iowa’s water, land, and climate. In 2021, IEC staff, advocates, and volunteers will push to for improvements in clean energy policy, water quality, energy efficiency, and more. 

This year we're doing things a little differently! We invite you to join us virtually on February 25 for two engaging events. You'll hear from advocates and legislators, learn how you can get involved, add your voice to our growing coalition, and support this important work. As with previous in-person versions, we invite you to register for the whole day, and join us when it works best for you!

February 25 | 12 - 3 p.m.

Individual activists and organizations are encouraged to participate in Environmental Advocacy Day. The event is free for individuals and IEC member organizations, with minimal costs for non-member organizations. 

During Advocacy Day, you'll hear from environmental advocates and legislators, have a chance to participate in a free advocacy training session, network with environmental organizations and meet other Iowans engaged in the work of protecting and improving policies to clean our land and water and grow our clean energy. 

Environmental Advocacy Day will take place on Whova, an online event platform. Detailed instructions will be provided in advance of the program. 

February 25 | 7 - 8:30 p.m.

You're invited to join IEC for an engaging online evening of music, cocktails, and advocacy!

You'll start the evening enjoying live music from an Iowa musician and get firsthand instruction in mixing a unique, IEC themed cocktail with a local bartender (we'll provide everything but the alcohol).  

Then as you enjoy your beverage, you'll learn more about IEC’s work to make Iowa a better place to live, work, and explore through writing postcards to your representatives.
