Join IEC for an event celebrating Iowa's natural environment and raise funds for its protection at the Green Soirée on Friday, June 14, at Mainframe Studios in downtown Des Moines. 

Wear your best garden party attire for an evening of entertainment, networking, and exciting art experiences. You'll start the evening with appetizers and cocktails in the Mainframe Atrium, where you can view and bid on exciting silent auction items and enjoy a unique art experience with portrait artist Jennifer Leatherby. Enhance your evening with an in-studio glass blowing demonstration from Mainframe Artist JJ Gaffers when you purchase a VIP ticket.  

The Program

Our evening festivities will be emceed by popular Des Moines entertainer Madison Ray and will include the official release of IEC’s upcoming publication Sacrifice State: Iowa Voices on Environment and Justice…whose moving collection When the Earth Cries is featured in IEC's upcoming publication Sacrifice State: Iowa Voices on Environment and Justice. The book, created through IEC's partnership with Drake Community Press, is currently in production and will be released at this event! (You can pre-order your copy now!)

The Green Soirée provides an opportunity that goes beyond fundraising for IEC - it is a way to create a space to advocate for and bring awareness to environmental injustices in Iowa and to come together to find ways to address those inequities.
