The Iowa Environmental Council is pleased to announce the first Green Gala & Art Auction, a time for the community to come together in support of a just, healthy, and sustainable future for all Iowans through art!

We invite artists of all types to submit pieces that communicate what you feel is the beauty, or struggle, of the environment we call home. Selected pieces will be included in a virtual auction for bidding in association with the live Gala to raise funds to support the work of the Iowa Environmental Council. 

The Green Gala & Art Auction fundraiser will take place on Thursday, November 10, at Mainframe Studios in Des Moines, and virtually anywhere with an internet connection. Funds raised will support the work of the Iowa Environmental Council, though we believe artists should get paid for their work and therefore, 25% of the auction price of the piece will be provided to the submitting artist as payment. (If you're willing to waive this fee or donate it to IEC, please let us know.) Art submissions are due by October 14.

IEC will work with each artist and auction winner to coordinate delivery of the piece after the event. As this is a hybrid auction, with both a virtual and in-person component, please submit an image of your piece (even if just a conceptual image) to IEC no later than October 10th.
