IEC is excited to continue the tradition of honoring deserving Iowans for their work at our inaugural Green Gala & Art Auction on Thursday, November 10, at Mainframe Studios in Des Moines. We invite you to nominate an Iowan you feel is doing important work to develop and support renewable energy, expand energy efficiency efforts, hasten the electrification transition, grow the adoption of electric vehicles, or other efforts to expand our clean energy future.

Nominations close Monday, August 15 at 5 p.m. All nominations will be reviewed by IEC's Events Committee and winners selected by the Board of Directors. If there is someone else you want us to know about, there is a spot for that, too.

• Business Innovation - Agri-Industrial Plastics, a privately-owned manufacturing company based in Jefferson County, received a Business Innovation award for their investment in solar and battery storage and energy efficiency measures that reduced the company’s peak load by six percent each month, delivering significant cost savings. Ideal Energy, a Fairfield-based solar installation company, received a Business Innovation award for their approach and services for companies seeking to add solar and storage to their operations.

• Partner In Policy - Jenny Steffensmeier for her efforts to advance policy around clean energy and efficiency at the state level, as her experience in taking her business 100% solar introduced significant cost savings.
